A multinational commercial bank(Hong Kong) Core Banking System Implementation Project
Project Background
As commercial banks shift from a product-centric model to a customer-relationship management approach, driven by digital transformation imperatives and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements (such as anti-money laundering and data governance), there is a growing need for a unified, standardized, and real-time view of customer information. In this context, DCITS (Digital China Information Service Group Co., Ltd.) has successfully implemented its next-generation ECIF (Enterprise Customer Information Integration) system for multiple commercial banks in economically active regions of China, including the Industrial Bank in 2023. Most recently, DCITS secured a core banking system implementation project for the Hong Kong branch of a multinational Tier-1 commercial bank, where the next-gen ECIF system serves as the cornerstone and critical component. The project is currently being implemented.
Project Content
DCITS's ECIF system incorporates a unique "Customer Journey" service philosophy that breaks down customer information silos at the source, achieving a unified, journey-based customer information view and establishing a single customer identifier across the bank to solve problems such as "one customer, multiple IDs" and inconsistent information. It strengthens data governance by establishing unified customer information standards, enabling real-time validation, and improving data traceability. The system empowers customer marketing and service innovation through a 360-degree customer view that supports customer stratification, personalized tagging, and precision marketing, while also enhancing cross-selling and journey-based customer experience. In addition, it strengthens comprehensive risk management by integrating multi-dimensional customer risk data (assets, liabilities, transactions, litigations, etc.) to form a complete risk profile, and reduces operational risks through automated data management. The system features a leading technical architecture with full-stack localization, distributed microservices, containerized deployment, multi-site active-active disaster recovery, and flexible parameter management to ensure high availability, scalability, and long-term business growth.
